This is actually one of the first things my wife and I did when we moved into out new home. Each of our bedrooms had wiring for ceiling fans so it was super simple. Anyways I really enjoy the added convenience as you mention and it helps circulate the air in our entire 2nd floor.

I love modern furniture. I guess that’s where I break with some of my peers when it comes to decorating. Most people still look to classic / antique looks to impress.

I have a friend who uses antique picture frames to frame mirrors. She sells them at craft shows and does quite well. Just goes to show people are more into mirrors than ever before.

I think this is something people need to realize when remodeling. Save yourself some money and just replace the cabinet doors – don’t rip out the entire cabinet!

Throw pillows are increasing in popularity. I’ve seen beds with special-made compartments for storing them as well as trunks sold for that expressed purpose.

We have remotes for every fan in the house. It’s so cool (no pun intended) to be able to control them without leaving the comfort of the couch or bed.
